The House: A two story house to be shared among 5 professional adults (mind the stairs). Very big and luminous common spaces, wood floors, spacious kitchen, big garage, patio, and a pool. There are three rooms available and two bathrooms to be shared by 2 people each. Two fridges, a dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer.
The Vibe: We are two VERY BUSY doctoral students looking for professional adults (gradaute students) wanting to cultivate a respectful, considerate, and harmonious co-living situation. (No dramas) We are assertive communicators. LGBTQ+/ Body+/Non Judgemental/ No parties, No pets, No couples, No smokers.
Available Rooms: There is one room available downstairs and two rooms available upstairs. 1 bathroom with a shower and double sink downstairs to be shared between 2 people. The bathroom (bathup) upstairs also has a double sink and will be shared between 2 people. One person living upstairs will have to share the bathroom on the first floor.
We prefer: Graduate students, non-smokers, no pets. We are interested in someone who is respectful of personal space and a good communicator. A professional/student that cleans after themselves, takes good care of collective space, doesn’t bring strangers home, and keeps parties outside. We would love people that are joyful and proactive and mindful about loud noises/music and visitors.
About us: We are cultivating a NURTURING SPACE! WE prefer a person who is honest, highly responsible, emotionally intelligent, and can take loving care of the home.
Erika: I am an Afro-Brazilian dancer and dance researcher. When I’m not working, nature, music and good food makes me happy. I’m usually quiet, curious and believe in kindness. My favorite thing about Southern California is the weather, my go-to parts of the house are the kitchen and the yard - and I do my best to make it all look like home.
Marielys: Queer AfroCaribbean dance artist, activist, and yoga teacher. I’m a spiritual being who practices meditation and my own mix-indigenous traditions. In my home, I cultivate restful energy, joy, humor and imagination. Avid weightlifter, deadlift, and pole dancer. I love to cook, share food, and do meal preps weekly. I am chatty and bubbly but pretty intuitive and know how to read space and peoples energy. I am a non-violent communicator and prefer to ask than making assumptions.
