If you’ve lived in a share house before you’ll know the importance of good habits in keeping common areas clean, being considerate and willing to chip in with chores (like taking out trash!).

The apartment is on the 3rd floor. The kitchen and living room are located on the bottom level of the duplex, along with 3 bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms. Upstairs is your private oasis. Your generous bedroom and private bathroom are next to a second living space with a TV. There’s even a little cozy hangout area between the two rooms which you can make your own. It has been a little coffee/reading nook for the last couple of years.

I have loved living here for over four years, but was offered my own place in the neighborhood. I’m looking for my replacement. The room is being advertised as unfurnished, however there are some furnishings available.

Other notes: Bedroom is approximately 8ft x 14ft. If you’re looking for more security, there’s an opportunity to potentially join the lease on 1 September. Sadly no couples, Single occupant only. Ceilings on second floor level are lower in parts, so would best suit someone under 5’11. (Majority of the ceiling upstairs is 6’8 but there are fire pipes and beams that sit at 5’10. I’m 5’8 and had no troubles) There are 4 x large windows, but these do not open to the outside. 14K BTU AC will be provided, and is set up with the room, (can be turned on remotely too!). No pets. Not suitable for someone who works full-time from home. Room unfurnished. Partial furnishings available for purchase (clothing rack, Ikea Kallax box storage, dresser etc. so you would just need a bed and mattress to get going).

Your new 3 roomies are friendly and sweet guys; urban professionals in their late 30’s/early 40’s. Two have been long term tenants. This apartment is home. It has a calm, cozy, super chill vibe; LGBTIQ+ friendly and your sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city life. Everyone is on different schedules so it often feels like you have the place to yourself. While your new roomies like to have fun, they won’t bring the party home.
