3 bedroom townhouse with patio and backyard in beautiful, crunchy Mt. Airy. I work from home and use one of the bedrooms as my office, and have a third room to spare. The house has a lot of cool old house touches - built-in bar, tiling, fireplaces, chandeliers.

The neighbors are mostly 40-somethings with young kids or dogs and are very friendly (I love the block for that reason!). We are 3 blocks from Germantown and a 5 minute drive from Wissahickon. Truly love the area and looking for someone compatible to share costs and hopefully build community!

The room for rent is pictured with the mahogany desk, blue couch, and large inset bookshelf. It can be furnished with a queen bed/desk/shelves, or I can remove the furniture if you have your own to bring. There are 2 full bathrooms; you could have the downstairs one to yourself.

The total rent of the house is $2300/month, but since I use two of the bedrooms (1 for bedroom, 1 for office), I am planning to cover more than half of the rent. Bills will be split. Here is how they usually break down per person per month (with some variation due to heat/AC): Gas - 100 Electric - 50 Water - 40 Internet - 25 Cleaning - 75

So you can expect to pay about $1240 total.

I have the house until August 2025. I’d like to start with a 3-month lease period just to make sure we’re compatible, but it could then be extended if we both are comfy with the situation.

Just me and my doggy! I’m a 36 year old female working in tech and writing musicals on the side. I play music occasionally (ukulele, piano, violin), but not loudly. Lately, I’ve enjoyed playing at open mic nights in the area. My favorite place in the house is the front porch :-)

I moved here about 1 year ago from Manhattan. After 14 years in the city I needed some more space, less-crazy costs, and wanted to be closer to family (who are in South Jersey and Media).

My dog Freckles is a 7 year old Cavalier and loves everyone who loves her. She is not hypoallergenic, but also does not really shed. Must love dogs 🐶
