I’m traveling from 5/16-8/15 (flexible start and end date) and my 12th floor oasis of a bedroom at the corner of Caton Ave and Flatbush Ave is available for sublet.

The bedroom up for grabs is currently furnished with double bed, kneeling chair, ladder bookshelf, and chest of drawers. This is a two-bedroom you’ll share with a roommate: late-20s grad student who works at a shop and has two sweet cats. She is super chill, and when home she spends most of her time in her room hanging with the cats, reading or watching TV.

About the building: gorgeous views over Brooklyn. Door Staff from 8am-12pm. Garbage & recycling on every floor, Lounge, Gym, Roof Terrace, free bike storage and secure package room. Laundry on the 14th floor. Brand new building with elevator.

All doors in the apartment are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Cook’s kitchen with an island, full-size oven & stove, plus a nonstick griddle. All the kitchen amenities: including a dishwasher, ice-maker, and air fryer. Large shared bathroom. Temperature-control heat/AC in every room. Super fast Verizon Fios internet. Quiet enough to do VO gigs.

Rent is $1550/month plus bills (not more than $150/month, even in the height of summer - the building is energy efficient). This is an opportunity to get into an income-restricted building without the months of back and forth paperwork.

5 minute walk to the B/Q at Church or Parkside, 5 minute walk to Prospect Park, 4 minute walk to nearest CitiBike stall.

I (she/her) am a cat-and-plant-loving VO artist whose room you’ll be staying in. I try and keep things tidy and will be boxing and storing most of my stuff while I’m away, with just a few things stored in the closet or under the bed.

My roommate (she/her) is a lovely gem of a human. She’ll be studying and working and caring for her cats this summer. She spends her time at home chilling out.

Our ideal subletter is someone like us: you’re a non-smoker who likes cats and enjoys relaxing at home. We tend to have friendly chats in the shared spaces and then head to our rooms to do work. Above all, we value the laid back but responsible roommate.
