West 21st Street

Hi there!

After 2.5 years of living together, my roommate has decided he is leaving NYC. I’d like to stay as it’s an awesome space, so I’m seeking a new roommate to take his spot on the lease for one year. New lease starts 6/13, however there is flexibility for an earlier move-in date.

The location is tough to beat - 21st between 7th and 8th. Very close to a bunch of great spots, very easy to get anywhere in the city by transit (2 min walk to 1 train or ACE line). Also very easy to walk down to West Village / Meatpacking. Also about a 10 minute walk to Penn Station / MSG.

I am a 30-year old male professional. Laid-back / friendly, I like my quiet time but also like to have fun on the weekends. I have a full-time job and am in office 3x a week (wfh Mondays/Fridays usually). I am passionate about music and golf. I also enjoy cooking 1-2 times a week.

The apartment is on the first floor and is two levels. Two bedrooms, full bathroom and kitchen on the main floor, then a half-bath and living room on the lower floor.

My roommate has optimized the space in the available room and is open to selling most of the items in the room (full bed mattress / frame, desk, wardrobe, TV). It’s not a huge room, but is definitely larger than plenty of Manhattan bedrooms I’ve seen. The half-bathroom can be used by the new occupant as a designated spot to get ready (in addition to the bedroom), and there are two closets (one next to available room, one downstairs) that the new tenant can use for their own belongings (I don’t use them).

The rent is $2,275/month and the security deposit ($2400 I believe) will have to be worked out with my current roommate, per the landlord.
