Looking for a new roommate as the current one is leaving New York

The apartment: A quiet and sunny duplex (6-floor walk-up) one floor higher than most buildings around, meaning a lot of natural light and a very nice view

• 2 bedrooms (no shared walls)
• 1 bathroom (I shower at the gym on weekdays though, so no morning traffic)
• 1 living room (upstairs, can listen to music without getting complaints for neighbors, sofa is convertible)
• 1 kitchen / smaller common room (including dish-washer)
• 1 private rooftop terrace with a 360 view of the city
• Washer-dryer on the floor

Your room (furnished, although can discuss it if you would like to bring your own bed)

• Queen bed
• Built in closet
• Some storage space
• 2 large windows facing south

The neighborhood:

• 6 minute walk to the L (1st avenue), 10 minutes to Astor Place (4,5,6), 15 to Union Square
• Authentic feel
• Endless supply of bars and restaurants in every price range and for every tastes
• Quiet street for the area
• Citybike everywhere around

A little bit about myself:

• 32 year-old guy working for a French bank (not your typical banker though, if there’s such a thing)
• Pretty quiet during the week. Usually out between 7.30am and 8pm
• Travels for fun occasionally. Goes out on weekends
• Been in NYC for 7 years. Had a few roommates over the years (guys and girls). Always interested in meeting new people, and having a good laugh

Rules & mood of the house

• Chill friendly vibe, respectful of each other (noise, some notice about guests, leaving common areas clean, etc.)
• No smoking inside
• Cleaning lady comes every week ($30 per person)
• Internet and electricity combined are usually $60-90 (rare) per person per month depending on use of heat and AC
• Rent paid on the first of the month
• Need first and last month
