I just bought a relatively new townhouse approximately 1 mile away from the VA and USC Medical School, near Garner’s Ferry Rd. The property is within a community of other townhouses and single-family homes, in a very quiet part of town.

Photos are coming soon–I am closing on this house in mid-May! The community is called Pennington Square.

There are 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, so you’ll have your own bedroom AND private bathroom accessible directly through the bedroom. Both bedrooms are upstairs while the first floor contains a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining and living room area, all in an open-concept plan. There is a small enclosed outdoor sitting area with grass (like a tiny backyard) that can also be used to let your dog out, if you bring one.

Behind the townhouse is a grassy park “common area” of the community that is also ideal for walking a dog or playing catch.

You will have an assigned parking spot dedicated to our townhouse (it comes with two) and additional parking spots are located adjacent to the building.

I am a female in my thirties and work in tech. I have a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction; in a previous life, I was a teacher and school administrator in Florida.

While I purchased this townhouse as my primary residence, I will seldom be home due to work and personal travel commitments. I also often stay with my partner in Charlotte. I expect I’ll actually be in the townhouse once a month, if that. I am seeking a responsible roommate for a long-term stay that will be clean and quiet (no parties). If you are medical student, intern, or resident, this would be an ideal place to live; I am also open to travel nurses and other young professionals or graduate students.

I will arrange for a cleaning service to come every 4-6 weeks to make sure the townhouse stays in good shape.
