The flat is the top unit in a classic Edwardian three-flat building. The rooms are bright, with panoramic views from the downtown skyline to Buena Vista heights through large windows. Both have the original, beautiful wood-paneled walls and built-in bookcases. In addition, one room has built-in drawers and cabinets, and the other has a non-working fireplace. The rooms also have custom blinds in all windows. You’ll also have a walk-in closet.

The flat features a sunny eat-in kitchen with refrigerator and gas stove, washer and dryer off the kitchen and a shared patio/yard. It’s located just a few short blocks from the Castro, the shops on Church Street,the Lower Haight, and Safeway, as well as the 22, 24, 37, J, K, L, M, N and F Muni lines, all one block from Duboce Park.

Your two rooms are at the front of the flat and mine and at the back, so you’ll have plenty of privacy. The kitchen and split bath (toilet in one room, tub/shower and sink in the other) are common areas.

I’m looking for another stable, non-smoking professional (prefer male roommate) over 40 years old, who is neat, clean, and respectful of the common areas. Rent is $1,800 per month, including water and garbage. We’ll share PG&E, basic cable and internet. Street parking. No smoking in or around the building. No pets.

You’ll share the flat with a gay professional male in his fifties. I tend to keep to myself but enjoy communicating with whomever I’m living with. I enjoy my privacy as well as respect yours. I’m not looking for a new best friend, just someone to peacefully coexist in the same living space.
