About the room
We’re looking for a new roommate to join our house in a quiet Rosslyn neighborhood of DC. We’ve transferred the lease from 4 girls to 4 girls for several years. We love the area and the house - and think you will too!
The unfurnished bedroom is available June 1, 2024. We’re looking for someone to sign a 1 year lease. Monthly rent for the room will be $1,074.50 and utilities run about $150 to $220 per person per month depending on the season. Room is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs, and is available for one (1) occupant.
The Room:
- 2nd floor room - approximately 12ft by 14ft with its own long closet and dormer space.
- Queen sized bed is in the pictures.
- Hardwood floors in the room - carpet on the landing and stairs.
- Shares a bathroom (shower stall) and linen closet with the other upstairs bedroom.
The House:
- 4 bedroom 2 bath, typical Arlington house, with basement
- Kitchen has a gas range, but storage is limited
- Washer and Dryer in basement
- Street parking is free on our street - no permit needed.
- 15-20 minute walk to either Rosslyn or Courthouse metro stations,
- 2 minute walk to Custis trail entrance - for biking, walking, running, etc.
- Fenced-in backyard, with grill - We take care of the yard, so you’ll get to help mow the lawn during spring/summer/fall!
- One very sweet, friendly, attention loving dog lives on premises - We’re open to more dogs in the house, but they need to meet and get along before you and your dog can be a candidate!
In your messaging - please confirm you can 1) sign a year lease, 2) describe yourself and what kind of living arrangement you are looking for and 3) whether on a night in you’re watching a show/movie or reading a book - and what’s your choice?
About the roomies
About Us:
- Current occupants are late 20s and early 30s professional women.
- One of us is completely work from home and the others are on occasion work from home.
- We’ll do low key things at the house as roommates/friends and with other friends every once in a while, like get dinners, firepit nights, movie nights, etc.
- General vibe is make sure the house is a place we can all be in and enjoy, so we keep common areas able to be used by others and communicate if there’s a concern.
- One roommate handles all the utilities and Venmos others for those each month. Utilities are split 4 ways.
