The room: 222 square feet (12’ 8“ x 14’ 9“ with a small entryway) and naturally bright with views of our backyard. You’ll have your own entrance to the patio you’ll share with the occupants (Jackson and Kelly) of the adjoining room, which is prime sun-napping area. The room has a spacious en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and a large shower with a rainfall shower head. It’s quiet as well–there isn’t really much to be heard from the rest of the house.

The house: our place is super spacious (around 2k sqft) with a 2-3 car driveway, 2 bedrooms on each floor (2 floors) and a massive garage we use for storage, hanging out and playing music.

The top floor has the kitchen, dining, living room, and two bedrooms (including yours). The kitchen is equipped with a 5 burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator, trash compactor and a dishwasher (woo!). We also have 2 sets of clothes washers and dryers, one set for each floor. We get a ton of natural light, and only really have to turn the lights on when the sun goes down. If you like to grow plants, they’ll get plenty of sun :).

The bottom floor is comprised of the garage and two bedrooms. We’re in the process of turning it into more of a hangout space, so we’ll have even more room to relax. We also use it for storage, and will be available for any of your storage needs, as well.

We never get noise from our neighbors–one house is mostly empty, and the other has a lovely elderly couple who we get to chat with a few times a week.

The area: it’s really quiet! There’s a ton of parking, and we’re right next to the sunset reservoir. You can walk up the hill and get a gorgeous view of the sunset over the Pacific to cap off your day. We’re also within walking distance of Safeway, Walgreens, some restaurants and bars. We’ve been in this location for a year now, and love it.

Jackson: I’m a former software engineer, now a full time graduate student working towards my MA as well as medical school. I love to cook, read, hike and play guitar. Kelly and I will be in the other room on the top floor. We have a black cat :)

Kelly: Currently working as a Medical Assistant, and at the same time part-time student. Very socially driven, I love hanging out, eating and sleeping.

Carao: I am a four-legged black kitty. I love to sleep, cuddle and to get belly rubs by the humans -only under my own terms- I am a well behaved lazy cat who will sleep most of the day on my different nap spots.
