$750 per month plus shared water, electric, and gas. Available April 1. Small basement room in a 115 year old craftsman bungalow a block from downtown St. Johns neighborhood.

There’s backyard chickens and eggs are included with rent along with fiber wifi, trash service, laundry, and twice monthly cleaning service for common areas, fridges, bathrooms, etc.

A fixed or neutered pet will be gladly accepted without deposit or further charge based entirely on how it gets along with chickens. The yard is fenced in.

The room is small but private, quiet, cool in summer, warm in winter. It also comes with a lot of storage space and a decent closet.

Bathroom is shared with 2 other people. Hard rule of no dirty dishes left in the sink. Gardening is encouraged (if you can keep the chickens off of it - and they provide an endless source of free high quality fertilizer and pest control). Two fridges so each person gets half a fridge. Lots of cabinets and storage in the kitchen and pantry.

No heavy drinking or hard drugs. No smoking indoors except 420. Vaping whatever is fine. There’s room in the driveway for a car, and we’re near a lot of buses. Also, once you move in, rent never goes up.

Move in is 750 + 750 deposit. You must have 3 solid references - work, previous rental history, etc. - and have held a job for a year or have other provable income, and at least one social media account - FB/IG etc. Check me on FB, twix? xtwit? I’m an artist that works online. Just two other roommates in their 40s, one male one female, one in service industry one in weed industry.

This is a chill, quiet place in one of the most convenient neighborhoods in town. Parks, grocery, hardware, eye doctor, bars, coffee, river, hiking, dentist, vet, movie theater, post office, burritos - all within walking distance. We all kind of do our own thing but are all friendly. Coven of introverts. It’s a good place to land if moving from out of town or for a college student.
