A 2 story brownstone that’s been divided into a 1st floor & 2nd floor units, ours is the 2bd 1bth unit on the 1st floor. There is a elementary school on the other end of the block, the neighborhood is very safe. The neighborhood is quiet as well. There is a park on the next block that is good for dogs. it is 5min walking distance to the addison blue line stop. There is a Jewel-Osco a 15min walk away and a Target a 10min bus ride away. For shared facilities, there is a washer & dryer in the basement that is free to use, a fenced in garden area and a closed in porch in the back.

Total rent is 1,700 (850 each). For utilities, we pay gas, electric & wifi, others are included, the utilities can vary by month, all together it’s usually around 50-100/mo for everything. Security deposit is 1700 (850 each).

2 pets are allowed with a one-time fee when signing the lease, I will be having a cat, if you plan on having a pet we will split the fee.

your room is 8x11ft, the kitchen is 11x19ft, the living room is 13x24ft., the whole place is 1058sqft

There is a window AC unit in the living room, a steel fridge, microwave and dishwasher in the kitchen with plenty of cabinet space and space to cook.

The photos are from the listing when I first moved in, in the living room currently there is a table + 4 chairs and a couch, the couch is my current roommates but they will likely sell it to me.

LANDLORD REQUIREMENTS: We do credit, eviction and background checks. We also require proof of income. No bankruptcy. No evictions. No co-signers. Minimum credit score of 680. Monthly income must equal twice the monthly rent.

Hello, I’m Ire! I’m 24, nonbinary, and work in insurance. My hobbies are digital art, anime, reading manhwas, & video games. I am introverted but if you’re up for it I’d like to be friends! If not that’s alright with me too, respecting personal space and boundaries is important to me so please be upfront about any issues.

I’m a quiet roommate, I tend to keep to myself out of habit. I WFH so I am in the unit most of the time. I’d like to live with someone who also likes a quiet atmosphere. I don’t care as much about noise during the day, as long as I can sleep at night we’ll be fine.

For cleanliness, I’m not too concerned about things being super spotless but I pick up after myself and do weekly chores to keep the place tidy and expect the same from my roommate. As for sharing items, as long as you ask and I know you’ll respect my things I’ll probably agree to it. I’d like my roommate to be communicative so we can resolve things that may come up, I’m pretty straightforward and don’t enjoy arguments so discussing issues calmly so we can both live in peace is important to me.

I am getting a Ragdoll cat soon, they are very friendly (& hypoallergenic!) so as long as you are ok with cats there shouldn’t be issues.
