Welcome to a spacious, historic rural Vermont home with wood floors, cozy wood paneling, and a great high-ceilinged kitchen that gets lots of light. The open bedroom has a queen bed, a dresser, a closet, a lamp, and a side table. Shared spaces include a big front room/living room, a dining room, an office with a desk for each of us, a cozy reading room with a twin bed for guests, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, a front porch, and a big yard.

This house is super close to multiple cross-country and downhill ski spots, state parks, and cute villages, and is about 35 minutes from Brattleboro. The country store just down the road has live bluegrass and roots jams pretty often and does pizza nights

For me, feeling at home with housemates means sharing the space generously with goodhearted people who like to chat and share a snack or meal sometimes. I currently live alone and am looking for one or two (shorter- or longer-term) housemates, preferably women or non-binary folx. I would be happy to share a sense of camaraderie or even to become good friends.

I have a wonderful cat named Maji who loves human company and will be your fast friend. (Unfortunately, the lease doesn’t allow any more pets.)

I’m an old soul with a child’s sense of wonder & play. Field naturalist, poet and former high school English teacher. Happiest years of my adult life were when I shared a house with seven others, all different in our backgrounds & academic interests, united by curiosity, goodheartedness, & a love of cooking & (vegetarian) feasting. I’m an introvert (INFP) - tend to form very strong personal relationships & read people well, know when it’s time for silliness/thoughtful conversations/alone time. Interests: botany, natural history, poetry, literature, music, trail running, working out at home, cooking, French, Spanish, & Polish languages. Racial justice, intersectionality, and honesty are very important to me.

I usually work from home. I tend to be out of town a few days a week.
