I have an unfurnished room in a 2bd/1ba apartment available starting 3/25 right across Lake Merritt in Adams Point. Free parking is available in the carport with washer/dryer/storage free and available in the backyard shed. Apartment is also pet friendly with a pet deposit, but no additional pet rent.

Rent is $1150/month. This room is roughly 14’x12’ in dimension with some built in shelving, fairly large closet, fireplace, and a private balcony connected directly to the room. It has a minimalist setup at the moment, but it can easily fit a king or queen bed with a good amount of room to spare.

Utilities are not included above, but is $25/month for internet and ~$50/month for utilities. Water/trash/etc are free.

Lease is month-to-month, but ideally looking for a longer-term deal (4-6 months to start). Landlord is pretty chill and very responsive, though he does ask for a deposit of $1800 to move-in alongside credit/background check.

Common areas are furnished, but I’ll work with you if you have stuff you want to keep. I also have most kitchen and cleaning supplies available to share.

The apartment’s very centrally located. Grocery-wise, you’ve got Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Safeway all within walking distance. Bus stops for The NL into SF and the 12 bus are both a block away, 19th Street/Lake Merritt BART stations a short bike ride away as well. There are also lots of fantastic bar and restaurant options in the neighborhood!

I’m (he/his, mid-20s) a full-time graduate student at UC Berkeley and have been in Oakland for four years. Apart from work, I enjoy getting outdoors, dancing, staying active, reading, and spending time with my friends. I’m pretty chill and easy-going as a roommate and like to keep common areas tidy. I’ve been happy to get to know roommates and do the occasional shared activity, but also recognize everyone’s got their own thing going on. I host small dinner parties/gatherings every so often and you are more than welcome to do the same! Just looking for someone chill to share the space with.
