Aaron's room

This 3-bedroom townhome features 2.5 baths (including a private full bath of your own), two separate living room spaces, in-unit laundry, off-street parking, AC, and a dishwasher. One or both downstairs bedroom spaces could be yours! The communal spaces are already furnished, but we can negotiate swapping in some of your things for what we currently have if you like.

Our favorite thing about this place is the location! We’re within walking distance of a lake and trail system and a very short drive away from Eden Prairie Center. We’re nestled right up against an extensive wooded area, which means wildlife of all kinds is a frequent treat. The neighborhood is quiet and older, but easy and nearby access to Highway 62 means that getting to Minneapolis is simple.

The property has a pretty strict no-smoking/vaping policy anywhere in the neighborhood, but there is a parking lot about a minute’s walk away where those rules don’t apply.

Our current lease doesn’t renew until July 1st, and we have arrangements to be able to continue to pay our rent until then, so a move-in in April, May, June, or early July is doable if we seem like a good match but you aren’t immediately available!

We are a gay couple relatively new to the metro.

Aaron (31) is a high school Spanish teacher with passions for theater, linguistics, and tea. His schedule is pretty predictable and regular during the school year. He’s a night owl when he can be but is in bed by 11:30 most school nights. In his free time, Aaron likes to play video games and board games as well as reading and learning new things. Aaron has severe sensory sensitivities regarding odors and asks that anyone living with him agree to never cook fish or bacon in the house.

Joseph (27) is a barista, oil painter, and digital artist. In his free time, he likes to paint, practice piano, play puzzle games, and read. Joe’s exact schedule varies from day to day, but he’s pretty much always in bed by midnight.

We are both pretty quiet and tidy people and we value picking up after ourselves and keeping things moderately clean in shared spaces. We don’t mind the natural clutter and untidiness that can come with just living life and working a job, but we like to handle big messes as soon as possible so they don’t get unmanageable.

We have friends from elsewhere and previous parts of our lives that visit infrequently (a few times a year), but not many people that we hang out with in the Cities on a regular basis yet. Family members occasionally stop in briefly, but generally have not stayed with us.

We’re hoping for a household environment in which everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and able to be open and honest in communicating their needs; we believe that consistent, honest, and direct communication are the most important factors to a harmonious household. We’re excited about the idea of a roommate who is open to also being friends if we jive that way, but don’t demand that of you if we don’t!

We are not open to living with a dog. We have no moral opposition to cannabis but don’t use it ourselves.
