It is a wonderful place to host people and to gather or to just kick back and relax in the yard.

It is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath with a “sunroom” enclosed porch that I used as a work-space, but could be a small 4th bedroom. Two bedrooms upstairs (the master bedroom and a small bedroom that we call “the cabin room” because it is all old fir. One bedroom downstairs off the kitchen and the sunroom is off the dining room, facing the water and gardens. Raised beds and an established herb garden. Lots and lots of flowers, blueberries, raspberries, figs and a grape arbor with climbing roses, pinot noir and muscat grapes!

We looking to rent in mid-February on a month-to-month for a 1-year lease, with the option to renew annually. All new paint on the interior and a new kitchen countertop, farmhouse sink, new toilet and all new floors put in. All appliances included (cute retro fridge and electric stove in kitchen). Laundry room and high-load, energy efficient washer & drier in a mudroom off the kitchen. Woodstove keeps it really toasty in the winter + new energy efficient baseboard heaters + AC upstairs. Large garage is included and has some cured wood and a mower and some tools.

There is a very hearty chicken coop (we had 25 chickens), and a “duck house” that looks like a hobbit house with a round door (we also raised turkeys there). Canoes come with the property and can be taken out at high-tide. This is, genuinely, a little slice of heaven, and only 7 minutes to downtown Olympia. We are at the very end of Eld Inlet, and the backyard is like a national geographic show: you will see otters, salmon migrating, deer, seals, and tons of bald eagles! The forest is your only real neighbor, as the property includes over 1.5 acres of forest and marsh to the left and it is right on the water. No one is currently renting the house. It would be perfect for 2-3 roommates to share.
