About the room
This is a lease takeover. While you would sign on as roomates, my wife and I would sign-off as roomates, leaving you the sole name(s) on the lease. By signing off the lease, my wife and I forfeit the security deposit paid when we moved in, which would now benefit you.
The unit itself is 2-bed 1-bath and in generally good condition with two area of notable aesthetic damage: there is a tear in the carpet of the living room and dimpling of the linoleum flooring of the kitchen. It will be deep-cleaned and emptied entirely before you would move in.
Everything would be handled through the apartment complex. Rent for Feb has been paid completely so there would be no pro-rated cost. Applying through the leasing office has a 60$ non-refundable fee.
About the roomies
No roomates other than whoever you bring with you. My wife and I are moving across the country and need to exit our lease. We are hoping the idea of inheriting our security deposit will help us find someone to fill the unit.
