Searching for a new housemate in Crown Heights! You’ll be claiming the larger of the two bedrooms in a charming prewar building. Situated on the 2nd floor, it’s a walk-up with no elevator. The room boasts three lovely windows providing access to the fire escape, and although it comes unfurnished, the rest of the apartment is fully furnished. You can easily accommodate a king-sized bed, a dresser, a reading table, a couch, and more! Enjoy almost private access to your room through the entrance and utilize the closet/storage space just outside.

Move-in date is March 1st, with a monthly rent of $1300 plus utilities (approximately $90 per person).

The walls are thick, ensuring privacy between roommates. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, and numerous windows illuminate the entire apartment. The bathroom even features a window ledge, making it perfect for enjoying shower beers.

Conveniently located, the apartment is surrounded by various amenities, including restaurants, bodegas, laundromats, and more. The Kingston Throop C station is a 6-minute walk, and the Nostrand A station is just 12 minutes away. The Brooklyn Public Library and Brower Park are only a couple of blocks away. Access to buses and city bike stations nearby makes navigating Brooklyn a breeze.

You’ll be sharing the apartment with me, a 33-year-old trans woman, and artist, and I teach fine arts as an adjunct art professor at Parsons School of Design in the New School. I’m clean and maintain a tidy living space, I appreciate a respectful and harmonious living environment. If we decide to become housemates, you’ll need to sign a sublease agreement for a minimum of 6 months or longer. Proof of employment and two references are required. The security deposit and the first month’s rent are due upon moving in. Unfortunately, this listing does not currently accept pets or couples; the room is available for single individuals only.
