Kayte's room

Rent is $875 and includes water and sewer. Not included Utilities are internet, power, and heating oil (in the winter months.) Could be available sooner than April 1. My boyfriend is moving out and will likely vacate in early March.

The Room: 10x10ish with a generous closet, double hung windows facing the backyard. You can paint it whatever color you want as long as you paint it back when the time comes. Included with the rent of the room is half of the basement to use as a creative studio for your liking. It was used as a band practice space and a broadcasting studio for a live streamer. The basement studio is 15 x25ish feet. a 11x14 rug looks like postage stamp. It could be your bike storage / home gym / secondary living room / home office. Endless Possibilities.

The House: 1950s Mid Century Duplex with an exposed brick fireplace, oak hardwood flooring, and big sunny windows. There is a front yard where I keep terrace furniture, a stone patio with a lounge set, and a backyard with the beginnings of a garden. The yard has led market bulbs for nighttime hangs. There is also a dog door so my dog can come in and out of the house. The house has an attached garage and basement. I keep my car in the garage. The house has in unit washer and dryer, a laundry chute, and dishwasher. It is heated by oil which is about $700-$1300 in full at the beginning of the winter season.

Neighborhood / Area: Max and bus lines super close. Gorgeous neighborhood for lots of hot girl walks. There’s a coffee shop and bottle shop 3 blocks away. A few blocks south is Coco donuts, another beer bar and Ruse Brewing. To the North is the Brooklyn park pub, Meta Pizza, the bear paw and Bottos BBQ. West is simply Mcglaughlin and is a constant brown noise which I enjoy. I have a growing number of friends in the neighborhood all in there 30s and beyond. Sometimes we all meet up for beers at the bottle shop.

Me: mid 30s female working professional with a very early start time. I leave the house around 6:30 every morning, meaning I am up around 5 feeding my dog, making coffee and showering. This also means I go to bed early. I am hoping to find a roommate with a similar schedule to me. Due to my long hours and rush hour commutes I tend to veg out when I am home. I like shows like The office, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Doctor Who, Regency Era Period Piece Movies, Greta Gerwig films etc. I am a swiftie, I love Taylor Swift. You wouldn’t see that on the surface but underneath my tattoos and black clothing is a Taylor Swift loving basic bitch. I am currently off social media but will log in so you can vet me. I have a border collie who prefers to be the only pet in the house unless your dog is smaller than her. If you would like to see how they get along I would ask that we have multiple play dates in and outside of the property. Shes 40+ pounds and made of silk and soft kisses. 10/10 companion. She cuddles and is there when you need her. She loves strangers! I am a socialist who supports demilitarization of the police, a free Palestine and am very covid cautious. I wear KN95s every day to work.
