Sunny Furnished Room in Spacious Historic Home – 16th Street Heights

Looking for a comfortable, fully furnished place to stay in a friendly, relaxed home? We have a sunny room available in a large historic single-family home in 16th Street Heights, just steps from the 16th Street express bus to downtown DC and Silver Spring.

The room is fully furnished and includes a desk/workspace, with full access to all shared living areas, including a large, well-equipped kitchen, deck, backyard, and fire pit. There’s secure ground-floor bike storage, easy street parking (really!), and all linens and towels are provided.

You’ll share a bathroom with just one other person and share the spacious common areas with only a few housemates, so there’s plenty of room for both socializing and privacy. I’m the homeowner, a freelance media producer, and I enjoy getting to know housemates while respecting everyone’s personal space. We also have a very chill dog who loves people but doesn’t jump or lick.

The neighborhood is quiet and friendly—close to the action without being in the middle of it. You’ll find several great restaurants within a few blocks, and beautiful Rock Creek Park is just a short walk away for hiking, running, or relaxing in nature.

The room is available for stays of at least 6 weeks (longer stays preferred). Rent includes utilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, housekeeping, and use of all shared amenities. Short-term rates may vary slightly.

The house has a relaxed, respectful atmosphere where people are friendly without feeling like they have to socialize.
