$1150 Room available in trans/queer group house

Spacious English basement room available for rent starting anytime between February 1st and March 1st (earlier preferred) in a Petworth Group house.

The available room is on the basement floor of the house and has access to extensive common space on the first floor, as well as it’s own private entrance, own bathroom, and kitchette - ideal for a single person or couple.

The house is situated a block from restaurants, 6 blocks from the metro, 2-4 blocks from grocery stores, and a block from the farmers market. There are two washer/dryers in the house, two refrigerators and three freezers, ample common space, and nice outdoors space. Off-street parking is available. Rent is $1150 per month, and utilities (electricity, gas, water, internet) are $600/month - split evenly amongst the members of the house.

We’re also quite COVID conscious, and ask that all members of our house be vaxxed and boosted, mask indoors in all locations outside of the home, and wear a mask in common spaces and test when you can’t - and follow a masking and testing policy that we agree on as a house.

We currently have no pets in the household, but a pet deposit would be required as well as a discussion with the landlord and RZ (who both has dog/cat allergies and loves dogs/cats)

You’re future roommates are as follows: Lauren - 27, trans fem - an errant goof with bid interests in music (singing, piano, banjo), games, worldbuilding and muay thai! If you speak French I’m out of practice, but I’d love a speaking buddy!

J - 34, NB, is on a mission to teach all DMV queers how to spin yarn. They enjoy crafting, biking, and camping. They’re a haphazard gardener as well, and are currently working on establishing raspberries in the backyard.

RZ - 34, trans fem - is delightfully unbalanced and unable to be captured by mere words. She writes, plays music, loves people, does dishes, and communes with spirits. They want to talk about mutual aid, taking care of each other, and revolution.

Quinn - 26, nonbinary trans women - is a writer locked in an eternal struggle with their ADHD, a musician, and an avid tabletop gamer. I host a semi-regular queer covid safe game night typically on a Saturday evening in the downstairs dining room that you’re welcome to join!
