Cozy room with a full size bed and normal size closet in a 3 bedroom bungalow (one room is used as owner’s office/dog room) near vibrant downtown Durham, NC. Rate for shorter stays $60 per night for nurses traveling in-state and still requires a 3 month minimum to hold availability. Just over 2 miles from Duke Hospital and a mile from Duke Regional - on the greenway and a bicycle can be made available if you prefer to bicycle commute. There is a full private bath with shower and tub for the tenant however the washer and dryer are located in the bath so property owner will schedule times for their use of laundry as mutually convenient. Easy-going, clean/tidy, dog lover preferred - there are two dogs - one older JRT and one mixed breed young dog - in the home. Kitchen, dining room, yard, front porch are shared. Fridge and pantry space for tenant and fully stocked kitchen free for use. Walking distance to the farmers market, Motorco, and vibrant downtown Durham restaurants, music venues, breweries, coffee shops and more. Close to the greenway for bicycle commuters. There is a driveway for parking.

*possible dogsitting opportunities for $ or rent reduction when owner is on work travel. They are pretty low-mainentance.

Homeowner is a young at heart 51 year old professional who is a dog and horse lover. I work a hybrid schedule and lately have been mostly remote so would prefer a housemate who works or attends school offsite during the day. I’m and introverted extrovert, so happy to socialize and also sometimes just hole up in my room. Love to cook when I have time and love books and audiobooks. Much of my time is spent with my horse who is boarded in north Durham. I don’t drink alcohol or smoke - some alcohol on the premises is fine but no smokers.
