West 24th Place

Hi! I’m looking for a roommate to sublease a room in a 2 bed/1bath apartment in Little Village (west of Pilsen). Move-in date is flexible but looking for someone to move in ASAP and lease ends June 30 (hoping to renew for one year). Rent for the available room is $800 and we’d split internet and utilities (typically $60-80 month). I have two 11 month old male cats so please only message if you’re comfortable living with younger cats. Open to other cats on a case by case basis, but no dogs or other animals please. Ideally looking for another female roommate in her 20s.

Location: Apartment is located on W 24th Place about a 10 min walk to the California Pink Line Station (roughly 20 min commute to State/Lake). 2 train stops from 18th St in Pilsen which has tons of restaurants and shops.

The room has a large closet and large windows. Room can come with bed if desired, but will be otherwise unfurnished on move-in. Shared spaces include open plan kitchen/living room, bathroom, laundry room, and balcony pictured below.

Application: Landlord requires an application including credit check and a $60 non-refundable application fee. Ideal applicant would have a 700+ credit check, but landlord is open to consider applicants with a bit lower credit with strong proof of income, references, and documentation of why credit is lower.

I’m a 23 year old who works from home full-time in digital advertising for progressive campaigns. I moved to Chicago in June from New Orleans where I’m from. I’m pretty introverted but open to getting to know new people and exploring the city together. I have two kittens Tems and Zion who are super friendly and cuddly (pics below), but are still young and active at night at times. Looking for someone very comfortable with cats as they will be in shared spaces but will stay out of your bedroom as long as the door is closed.
