We have a large master suite and private bathroom available for rent on 2/1 in our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. You would be buying out the current roommate’s spot on a year-long lease with the possibility to sign on to a new lease in December. The deposit is large because it is a third of the security deposit and the last month’s rent (if we were to exit the lease). Our home has a fairly large footprint, and is the downstairs “landlord unit” of a triplex so it feels more like a house than an apartment. The complex has a laundry room adjacent to our unit, and we share that with the other two apartments. The bedroom is 12’x16’, has 2 closets with lighting, large windows and a full ensuite bathroom with shower. The bedroom will be unfurnished but we have pretty much everything else covered in the rest of the house. You will have full use of the large kitchen with newer appliances, as well as the dining room, living room, and all other spaces. The apartment was upgraded a few years ago with double-pane windows, in-ceiling lights and central AC/heater. We’re a mile away from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station, and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and grocery stores, including the new Whole Foods in downtown Sunnyvale. $2500 (security deposit plus last month’s rent) required to move in. The shared utilities for internet and electricity come out to around $150 per month.

We are two professional, easy going women in our late 20’s and 30’s who are comfortable both hanging out together as well as being alone in our rooms. We have small pets in the living room, one lizard terrarium and a rat cage/palace. The lease prohibits dogs, rabbits, or snakes, but if you have something else we’re open to discussion. We’re looking for someone similar who is respectful and will maintain the comfortable home vibe we have. The room is single occupancy only, though you can invite people over (just no long-term guests without discussing it first).
