We have a private bedroom available for rent on 7/1 in our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. You would be buying out the current roommate’s spot on a year-long lease with the possibility to sign on to a new lease in December. This includes paying the departing roommate a $1,166.67 security deposit (a third of the original deposit) and the original last month’s rent of $843.11 (covers the last month if we were to all exit the lease).

Our home has a fairly large footprint, and is the downstairs “landlord unit” of a triplex so it feels more like a house than an apartment. The complex has a laundry room adjacent to our unit, and we share that with the other two apartments.

The bedroom is 13’x11’, has an 8’ closet with built-in lighting, and shares a hallway bathroom with the other bedroom. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and separate sink and drawers. The room will be unfurnished and currently has green wallpaper on one wall that we can keep or remove for you, and we have pretty much everything else covered in the rest of the house but can make room for whatever furniture, dishes, or supplies you want to bring.

You will have full use of the kitchen with access to the refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as the dining room, living room, and all other shared spaces. The apartment has double-pane windows, in-ceiling lights and central AC/heater.

We’re a mile away from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station and downtown Sunnyvale, and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and grocery stores. $2,009.78 (security deposit plus last month’s rent) required to move in. The shared utilities for internet and electricity come out to around $150 per month.

We are two professional, easy going women in our late 20’s and 30’s who are comfortable both hanging out together as well as being alone in our rooms. There is one lizard terrarium in the living room, he does not get free-roam time. The lease prohibits dogs, rabbits, or snakes, but if you have something else we’re open to discussion. We’re looking for someone similar who is respectful and will maintain the comfortable home vibe we have.
