Carrie's room

Non-Smoking. No Drugs. No Parties. Due to allergies: No Fish, shellfish or Mango allowed. Peanut allergy person requests that any shared food be labeled if it has peanut.

Room: Small private furnished room Rent: $900/mo. Deposit: $500. Rent includes utilities, wifi, pest control, and lawn care.

Parking: Street parking or 1 (shared) space in steep driveway.

Transportation: Close to BW parkway. 3 blocks from bus stop to Green or orange Metro. Bus ride is 10 minutes. Also near University of Maryland commute bus.

Pets/service animals: Dogs only. (We have 2 dogs). Your dog must have all vaccinations up to date and be licensed and registered. They also must be housebroken and socialized. If dog poses a danger to human or dog or residents lease will be terminated immediately.

Mobility challenges: Dogs in the way sometimes but they know commands to move back or around. Narrow hallways the house was built in 1949 not wheelchair accessible. The driveway and walkway to the front door is steep. There is one flight of stairs to the upstairs bathroom. Upstairs bath has a step up to the toilet and shower.

Private room is in a 4 bedroom 2 bath shared house owned by married queer fem people that has 2 dogs. The room is furnished with Queen sized bed with drawers underneath, a dresser, closet, mini refrigerator, and a TV with roku and access to house streaming apps.

Shared spaces includes bathrooms, livingroom, kitchen, and backyard/patio. We don’t have a formal dining room you can either eat at a tray in the living room or eat in your room. Please clean your dishes and kitchen after use. There is a shared fridge and freezer(s) please label your personal items in the shared fridge and freezer.

The current other tenant is a UMD grad student. Splits time between school and working from home. Keeps to themselves. Sometimes prickly due to school stress but overall ok person.

The homeowners work from home and are nerdy, dog loving homebodies. We do enjoy a rowdy game of UNO, a chill hangout on the back patio around the firepit or a movie night in the livingroom via projector on the wall.
