About the room
The landlord’s daughter occupies the master bedroom with her partner in this 3-bedroom Park Riviera townhouse. There is one other tenant currently and we are searching for a second. All are working professionals in our late 20s and early 30s and easy to get along with. The landlord’s daughter and partner are musicians who give music lessons off-site and do some practicing at home – usually only in the daytime. The townhouse is spacious – 1656 square feet – and the two other tenants share 1 bathroom on the second floor. All common rooms – living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio – are fully furnished, with washer and dryer available to all tenants as well as a wifi-connected TV. The 4 tenants split the monthly electric bill and wifi bill 4 ways. The HOA has two pools and a workout room available to all who live in the complex. The complex is quiet, with grassy lawns, friendly neighbors, and shade trees. It happens to be located in one of the safest neighborhoods in Tempe not far from the corner of Baseline and McClintock where Fry’s supermarket and Target are located (as well as Chutney’s, a very good Indian restaurant, and an Indian grocery store). A tenant without a car will find it easy to get around Tempe from here. You can catch the free Saturn orbital bus which goes north to ASU and Mill Avenue Downtown and the light rail station at Apache and McClintock and south to the shopping centers of Elliott Rd (Costco, Walmart, and others). The 81 bus north on McClintock takes you to Fashion Square in Scottsdale or Tempe Marketplace. Trader Joe’s is one mile south down McClintock, and Whole Foods, the Alamo Cinema, and the popular restaurants at The Lakes are located nearby just to the west. The house is 3 miles south of ASU’s campus and within easy car access of the 101 and the 60. Street parking available to a tenant with a car.
