About the room

You would be living in a very cute apartment right in Little Italy! The area is well-lit at night and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the harbor/fell’s point; it’s also easy access to the metro along with multiple bus lines . As for groceries, there is a Whole Foods right down the street along with a quick bus ride to Aldi on E. Fayette Street or a short walk to a small Mexican grocery store located on Eastern Ave. There’s also two great bakeries within a 3-5 minute walk from the apartment! There’s a bunch of great coffee shops close by, as well as a few local movie theaters…all in all plenty to explore and very easily accessible!

If you ever need to take the train out of town, the Lime bus route takes you right to Penn Station or it’s just a 10 minute drive. There’s also easy access to the Light Rail if you ever needed to fly out of BWI. It’s very much possible to get by without a car, however if you do own one there is a space in the garage for a car and/or you can very easily find free street parking near the apartment. We live on a quiet street, occasionally you will hear cars pass, of course, but since it is on the top floor we haven’t had any issues with noise from apartment neighbors (heads up it IS a two floor walk-up and there aren’t elevators). There is washer/dryer in unit along with a dishwasher and garbage disposal unit in the kitchen sink.

As for the rental costs, your rent would be a $625 flat fee each month directly paid to the landlord via Turbo Tenant (600 for rent and 25 for water/sewer), we also have 5G Verizon wifi which comes to $23.33 per person per month and then the BGE electric varies per month (both the Wifi and the BGE electric are in my name so we split the bills into three and you and the other roommate would pay what you owe directly to me each month)…so overall paying around $750 per month (at the most) considering all bills. You would be taking over someone’s part of the current lease which is set to end on 30th April 2024, I would personally love if whomever moved in would want to renew the lease (that decision would have to be made by February 29th and then the lease is year-to-year and would start on 1st May of 2024) but of course that isn’t a requirement to move in. You will also have to go through a background/credit check and I would just provide your contact info to my landlord to get the ball rolling!

About the roomies

My name is Anna, I am 25 years old and I have lived at this apartment since mid-June of 2023. I currently work at a cafe nearby and just walk to work. I have a BA in art history and I love to watch movies (we do have a nice entertainment center setup and there is access to HBO Max, Netflix, Criterion Channel and Kanopy for your media needs)…usually when I come home from work I either throw on a movie or go right into my room for a nap. I also love to go on a walk to the CVS nearby and get a vitamin water and just walk around the harbor at night. I’ll chat about anything with anybody and don’t mind hanging out but also understand people’s need for silence and space especially after a long day of work.

The other roommate, Stewie, 22, is a very kind individual. He currently works from home and is a very respectful and quiet person. His partner comes over a few times during the week and they are both lovely people to be around. We both have varying schedules and don’t really run into each other that often, so the single bathroom really hasn’t been a problem seeing as it’s split between three people. To avoid any confusion on how the wifi and electric bills are paid each month, we would be asking whomever moves in to sign a BGE/verizon bill payment agreement that I’ve drafted that states how and when those are paid each month to me (Anna) and also we would want to draw up a roommate cleaning chart so that the general use areas are cleaned each week (it doesn’t matter who does what, just as long as it gets done).

I am so sorry this is a lot of reading, just wanted to be as transparent as possible about what it’s like to live here - please reach out with any questions, thank you!! :)
