About the room
Seeking housemate to share my furnished 2 BR , 1 1/2 Bath townhouse in a quiet cul-de-sac complex in New Bern. Parking, pool, fire pit area with chairs and picnic table, gas grills in pool area for tenant use year round. $750 monthly rent includes high speed internet, electric, water/sewage/trash, and monthly pest control and is due on or before the 1st of each month—electronic payment only, no checks. The bedroom is nice sized, bright, with a large closet and window, as well as a Fire TV. I do have two very well behaved, fixed cats, so you must be furbaby friendly (although they will not have access to your room unless you invite them in.) 🙂
I am tidy and respectful and am looking for someone similar. I will absolutely respect your space and things, and just ask for vice versa. Of course you have full access to all shared living spaces. The kitchen has a dishwasher and living room has an electric fireplace. Food/meals not included in rent.
The neighbors around my unit are really nice and considerate as well. I honestly rarely hear or see them. Because the complex is in a cul-de-sac, it’s very low traffic. It is very safe, and the complex has security patrols as well.
Lease length is something we could discuss, although I would prefer 12 months. There is a $750 security deposit due before move in. ***Must be able to show proof of income and references. **Due to space, no couples. Sorry.
About the roomies
It’s just myself and my two cats, Scout & Jinx. I am 55 years old. She/her. I’m quiet and keep to myself, although I am also friendly and can be sociable. I will pretty much take my cues from you regarding how much interaction you prefer. We don’t have to be best friends, but I am looking for polite friendliness on both sides, while respecting personal space and boundaries. I get along with people of all ages. I am low key and drama free and seeking the same in a housemate. Initially I was ideally seeking a female roommate, however it is more important to me to find someone trustworthy and kind, regardless of gender. I love to read, write, do some Netflix binging, and bake. I’m a YA author who previously worked as a secondary education English teacher before moving into the mental health field. Thank you for considering me.
