About the room

The home is in an ideal location in Brandon within 2min of 60, Lumsden and Brandon Hospital. The backyard is large, has a pool and is fully fenced. The driveway can hold upto 5 cars and roommate will be alloted two parking spots if needed.

The home itself is an airy 4/2 with almost 2,000sqft of space. The floors are the orgional trazzo, for easy cleaning, has new windows, ac, and solar that covers all electric costs.

The room is the ogional owner suite with attached bath. The room is in the far back of the house. The room is about 12’ by 14’ and currently furnished with a queen bed, large dresser, night stand, floor lamp and two arm chairs. The room can come unfurnished too or decor can be changed out to be more masculine if the roomate prefers. The attached private bath is smaller but has a marble topped vanity and walkin shower. The room will be repainted/touched up before move in and roomate can decide to change the color of the paint. If the color is not the orgional color, white or grey that the owner currently has on hand, the roomate will have to provide the paint.

Owner is in a family/sunroom that was converted into a massive bedroom retreat at the very opposite side of the house allowing for total privacy.

The shared spaces are the front guest room/office, living room, dinning room and kitchen. The the other guest bedroom is currently shared space but that may change. The guest bathroom is the owners bathroom and may only be used by guests or in an emergency situation(very close to front door).

Home owner is a weekly cleaner and likes the living spaces kept presentable but has a messy bedroom. Homeowner is neater with someone who is tidy themselves and slacks when around people who are messy. That doesn’t mean the owner won’t forget they left their dirty clothes on the bathroom floor when in a rush out the door or leave a wrapper on end table because they were distracted by something.

Pets are welcome and there are two large dogs who the owner would prefer to have free range of the shared spaces.

Smoking/vaping of any substance is not allowed. Drinking in moderation is okay(i.e. a glass or two a week, not daily). Homeowner does not drink and would prefer a roommate who respects this.

Overnight guest are only allowed with prior approval in a very temporary setting(i.e. friend crashing for a night once a month, family visiting for the weekend from out of town). No bf or gf allowed to stay on a constant basis since it would be like they moved in and owner is only wanting one roommate not a couple.

Roommate must provide proof of stable income. Owner doesn’t care what you do for a living as long as it is legal, pays the rent, and roommate is respectful of the shared spaces.

Pool and backyard are currently being updated and off limits except for pets to roam. Work on back yard and pool should be done by spring.

About the roomies

I am an introvert who works a non set schedule but am typically off Sat-Monday. I have two large dogs(one is mine, the other is here through March). I love to travel, swim in my private pool and read books. I don’t have a tv. I at home I will spend 70% of my time in my room or working on the computer in the office.
