Hi!

My roommate and I are looking to find someone to replace our third roommate as she’s moving out. The room is available 1/1.

The room is in Astoria, almost equidistant between the Astoria Blvd and 30th Ave NW stops (~10 min walk) and about a 12 min walk to Steinway R. We are also close to many buses, and the m60 bus is around the corner and across the street. The grocery store is around the corner, and there are a lot of laundromats and restaurants nearby.

The apartment is on the second/top floor of the building. The area is safe and remarkably quiet. There is a small closet in the bedroom as well as 2 small communal closets. You will have a shelf in the refrigerator as well as a cabinet for kitchen things. There is no dishwasher or laundry in the building. We have a porch!

Our ideal roommate is female, 25+, hardworking, clean, and respectful. We have a weekly cleaning schedule. No smoking or partying in the apartment. No pets are allowed, unfortunately. No couples.

Rent is $880. WiFi is included in the rent, but other utilities are an extra expense of about $50. First, last, and security will be asked from the landlord. Also, if we think you’re a good fit, the landlord will likely ask for proof of income and references (just as a heads up). This is for a longer term commitment, but is on a month to month basis.

We are two ladies in our 30s who have been living in Astoria for years. We both work full time and are students, so we are not home often. However, we are very friendly and communicative. We like to keep a clean and tidy space.
