Charming 100 year old home in the heart of Toledo, ten minutes from Newport. Home is close to the river and bus route. Room for rent is furnished, on the main floor with a shared bathroom next to it. Laundry room in the basement. Entire home is over 3k square feet, across 3 levels, and some portions are being remodeled but mostly in the basement. Due to our last kid recently moving out, we are in the process of rearranging some furniture and rooms. When it’s not raining sideways, the home has fabulous light! Absolutely no pets whatsoever, this is non-negotiable. Nature abides outdoors, with deer frequently visiting the property and neighborhood.
Recent empty nest couple (late 30s -40s), very laid back, open minded with solid, happy energy. We enjoy our tiny town, nature, our hobbies and working on our home. We live a quiet life, and we like quiet, but as one of us works remotely, we also require quiet during the workday hours. We do have a cat and we have backyard chickens (hens only; fresh eggs daily!). We have two rooms which we may ultimately rent, and prefer roommate candidates who know who they are and have high emotional intelligence.
