About the room
The house has three bedrooms and one bath on .25 acres. I use one of the bedrooms as storage/craft/cat/massage/multi-purpose room. The bathroom has a built-in heater and large shower. There is a large garage in the backyard with plenty of storage space. We have a kerosene heater and pellet stove for heat, and a swamp cooler that works excellent in the summer. The kitchen stove is propane. The refrigerator and washer/dryer are brand new. The house is old and Iβm consistently working on little improvement projects. Weβre less than 10 minutes from downtown. The street is quiet and friendly and absolutely beautiful in Spring/Summer with lush foliage and flowers.
The room is 10β x 12β. My old roommate left her twin bed frame, box spring, and mattress. There may be a small bookcase as well. You can keep or get rid of them. The lease is month to month. Rent is a flat rate of $1300 with utilities included.
About the roomies
Hey! My name is Marisa. Iβm a 33-year-old Wildlife Biologist and I work for Fish and Wildlife. Iβm quiet, clean, and respectful of space and privacy. Iβm looking for somebody similar; preferably a mature, considerate professional. I spend a lot of time hiking in the Sierras, I have an Ikon pass, and I love to climb (even though havenβt gotten into it here yet) and it would be great to live with someone who could be an adventure buddy!
I have two 12-year-old cat sisters (Charlie and Sami) who reside in the main part of the house. They are both very sweet and prefer to be the only animals. I also have a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Pit mix named Clover. She is also very sweet and loving, but absolutely cannot be allowed with the cats. Clover resides in the laundry room off the kitchen and has full run of the backyard. During the summer, I will be away a lot for backpacking surveys for work, and I visit my family a few times a year to help out. Part of the condition of the lease is watching my animals when Iβm away when you are available.
