Hello Prospective Housemates,

This is my dream home and location. I am excited to meet you and create a nurturing home and sanctuary to learn, grow, play, and rest. It is a 3 Bedroom/ 2 Bath Single Family Home- Fully Furnished and Beautiful Grounds, walking distance to downtown and quiet. Move in date Jan 1st for a 6 month to 1 year sublet.

Rent portion is $1800 for the room and big shared bath includes utilities, cleaner 1x a month, and basic kitchen house supplies (hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, salt/pepper, sponges, cleaning brushes, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, kitchen hand towels). This will also cover the cost for a small fridge so we have enough storage for food and prep. Total approximate rent including utilities and supplies is $1900 a month.

1 room is available. Move in date Jan 1st for a 6 month minimum to 1 year sublet. No cigarette smoking or pets. I will be planning on a 1 year stay. Room is large with ample storage closet, a desk, and they dont share a wall. These rooms share a big bathroom and bathtub and you have access to the other bathroom in the home.

I am interested in interviewing people now with reference checks and making a decision by Dec 1st.

It is 2 blocks from Alice Keck park so you can ride or walk to downtown Santa Barbara, There is a private “sanctuary” backyard for yoga, exercise, rest, and/or enjoying meals outside, and/or smaller friend gatherings.

About You: You are professional, respectful, clean, great communicator, financially stable and dependable. You work part time out of the home or completely out of the home. You also engage in healthy self care practices, eat mostly or completely plant based, engage in healthy conflict and resolution and also want to create a peaceful and nourishing home environment.

I would love to have monthly potlucks, a kirtan, small dinner gatherings. Lets co create a beautiful home!

Some more notes:

Move in is first months rent and security deposit, which is the same price as rent (Total- $3600)

Utilities includes: electricity, gas, trash, water, sewer, high speed internet

All rooms come with lots of storage space- big walk in closets and more space outside.

Optional: cleaner can sweep/mop and basic surface clean your bedroom weekly for additional $25 / month

Rent is due the 25th of each month for the following month

Parking is on the street

I am in my early 40s, single, professional, respectful, clean, and a conscious communicator. I live and work from home and home is my sanctuary. My work entails learning, leadership and team development with companies. I am starting an internal full time role EOY. I have a daily spiritual practice, eat and cook organic plant based meals, and engage in healthy self care practices. I am quiet, lean towards introversion and introspection within my home because my work is so people focused. I love Santa Barbara and am looking to create roots here. I am very passionate about climate related topics and it would be wonderful to live with someone else who is too. I love people and am caring and conscientous. I don’t smoke or drink.
