Offering a room in a house. The house is fully furnished, with six bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is vacant. The other five are occupied by me, the homeowner, and other people who rent rooms in my house. There are 2 bathrooms shared between six people, laundry, and dishwasher. Shared living room and kitchen, with an electric range, abundant fridge space and freezer space. Large garage with ample storage space and workshop space for projects and vehicle repairs. Comfortable yard, opportunity for vegetable gardening in cooperation with the other housemates.

Rent is $500 per month with a $400 security deposit, refundable if you move out and leave the place clean, in good repair, and rentable condition. In addition to rent, all housemates and I share equally in the cost of utilities, including gas, water, electric, trash service, and internet. As we have all recently moved in we do not have solid numbers on the utility costs yet but we will be dividing the bills up equally.

The house has bedrooms on 3 levels. There is street parking out front. Your bedroom is on the northeast corner of the ground floor with double windows, and includes an ample closet. The room measures approximately 15 x 15, and comes with a bed, dresser, and side chair. You may add additional furnishings as you see fit.

Quiet hours are between 11pm and 7am. Smoking is outdoor only. Pets that stay in a cage, tank, or your private room are welcome, but we have housemates who are allergic to cats and dogs.

We would prefer you to commit to a year lease, at minimum, but will begin with a period of two months month-to-month to make sure everyone is a good fit. If interested, please contact me and we can set up a time for you to tour the place.

The other housemates and I are diverse in age, gender, income, and background. We enjoy each others’ company but do not need to be best friends. We are seeking a community-minded person who also enjoys living with other people. We value cooperation, communication, and mutual aid.

We all work hard, and we want our home to be a comfortable refuge when we are home. We are not a party house, but will happily host small gatherings, game nights, and dinner parties.
