Looking for (1) Enlisted military long term roommate; no E-7 or above. I live in “off base military housing” outside of JBPHH, this means no gate and no need to sign on visitors. 5 min drive to nearest gate and 2 min walk to NEX and golf course, 1 min walk to outdoor community pool/center.

Rent will be around $1,677 (same for me); includes utilities, split internet bill and split filtered water delivery (preference due to oil spill years ago). Rent is due the 1st of every month to housing. Housing deducts mine and roommate’s rent from my account, housing will not deduct payments between (2) leasing members. Therefore, roommate must pay me their half, this will be explained by housing when new roommate signs the lease. Any and all questions can be asked before signing the lease with housing.

Roommate can have (1) cat or (1) small/medium dog but there are breed restrictions due to base housing. There is a $250 pet deposit fee, mandatory per base housing (only applicable if you have a pet). I have a small and non-neutered Schnauzer, Mowgli. The dogs must meet to ensure they get along. Depending on the cat Mowgli will either be super friendly or super afraid (he steers clear of cats that don’t like him or scare him).

The house is furnished: kitchenware, dining table, 2 couches (1 pull out), oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, full size washer and dryer. Roommate will have the shared bathroom cabinets and sink, my room has a sink with cabinets. The metal box spring and 9 drawer dresser comes with the room if needed; an additional vertical 6 drawer dresser can also be provided if needed. House Expectations & Non-negotiables:

• Communication: A living situation is likely to go smoothly when there’s tactful communication. If at any point a roommate feels awkward, disrespected and/or upset then please bring it up immediately and be tactful in expressing one’s feelings, emotions and concerns.
• Rent must be paid on time.
• We will not go into each other’s rooms.
• Respect each other’s privacy.
• No kids, no extra roommate, no couples & crazy ex partners.
• No illegal drugs/any type of illegal service i.e. escorts, paying for illegal services for certain acts.
• Don’t bring strangers to the house that you can’t entrust with your life.
• Pets must be house trained. Must clean up after pet accidents and shedding (only if applicable).
• Highly recommend keeping the bedroom door closed since my dog loves to lay on everything comfortable.
• No eating in bedrooms: ants, roaches & rodents are a nuisance in Hawai’i.
• Clean up after yourself, put things back in their proper place and whatever is co-shared should be in good condition and/ or work without issues within reason.
• Bare feet, house slippers or chancletas on the carpeted areas (see YouTube), which are only the stairs and bedrooms. I’m the primary leaser so I’d like to minimize carpet cleaning as much as possible when lease is up. However, if there are significant stains in roommate’s room the roommate is responsible to deep clean/remove stains before moving out or when lease is up.
• Deconflict and give early notice of vacationing guest(s) and parties.
• The guidance on damages will be briefed by housing and will be adhered to by me & roommate.

Hey there! I’m AD E-6/TSgt. Work schedule is M-F from 0730-1630 (weekends are days off), would prefer a roommate with a similar schedule so we don’t disturb one another when sleeping during the week and would like for neither of us to need to be to quiet on the weekends.

I have a loving, hypoallergenic and non-neutered 26 lb Schnauzer, Mowgli - he loves to snuggle and be everyone’s shadow. He’s house trained so he will not chew on anything nor pee/poo inside.

Organizing is a hobby (think the tv shows Home Edit & Marie Kondo 😅). I love the ocean, volleyball, rugby, dancing, karaoke, anything artsy, traveling, trying new restaurants and a well made drink. I’m huge on communicating as it can ensure a respectful and harmonious environment.
