Maybe you’re relocating to the area and need a short-term place until you get settled. Whatever the reason, welcome to Delaware! Enjoy this private room and semi-private bath in a comfortable, relaxing shared home environment during your stay. Fully furnished. Flexible lease lengths available.

THE SHARED HOME: This spacious 3-story townhouse is relatively new construction and has been lovingly updated and maintained. With a warm and welcoming decor, beautiful hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms, plus newly installed carpeting and laminate on bedroom level. High ceilings and countless windows providing lots of natural light. You’ll feel right at home! Living room has a large bay window, lovely furnishings, Smart TV, stereo system, and ventless gas fireplace. Home has central air conditioning and heat. Security alarm system provides an extra sense of security for peace of mind in downtown living. Nice neighbors on the block as well.

Townhome Layout: Main living/kitchen/dining area is on 2nd floor. The private bedroom, designated mostly-private bathroom, and laundry are all located on 3rd floor along with a Master Suite (usually occupied by another tenant). Very relaxed, welcoming home environment with plenty of personal space. The 1st floor consists of an entryway, coat closets, utility room, half bath, plus the owner’s private bedroom, storage, and garage.

COMMON AREAS: You will have full use of the home’s common areas, including: living room, eat-in kitchen, dining area, off-kitchen powder room, and 3rd floor washer/dryer (located in hall closet near your bedroom / bathroom). Just off the kitchen is a large 2nd-story wooden deck with outdoor patio furniture and city views.

THE PRIVATE BEDROOM FOR RENT: For rent is a private 3rd floor bedroom with an adjacent mostly-private bathroom located in the hallway just outside the bedroom door. This cozy, functional 9 ft x 10 ft bedroom is furnished with full sized Serta Comfort Hybrid mattress (innerspring core with gel memory foam topper for comfort and support) on upholstered linen bedframe with unique lift mechanism for under-bed storage. Bedroom is fully furnished with dresser, lamp, rug, desk, chair, nightstand/shelf, and floating bookshelves. Six-foot-wide closet has a hanging rod and 2 full-length shelves, plus laundry hamper and hangers. Natural sunlight filters through bedroom window which has blinds and room darkening curtains. Bedroom also has a ceiling fan for additional cooling/comfort.

Semi-private hall bathroom has full-sized shower/tub, toilet, medicine cabinet, and vanity sink, plus additional closet for towels and toiletries. Pillows, bedding and towels are provided (but you’re welcome to bring your own - full/queen size will fit). Iron and ironing board provided in your bedroom/bathroom. Bedroom and entire home is move-in ready…just bring clothing, toiletries, food, and personal items.

AMENITIES: Rent includes ALL utilities: electric, gas, water/sewer, trash/recycling, high speed mesh network Xfinity/Comcast WiFi throughout home. The living room has Smart TV with basic channels and a few premium channels such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube. Home has active Slomin’s Shield security system. Basic housekeeping service provided. All common areas, bathrooms, and bedrooms are cleaned regularly. You are responsible for keeping your personal bedroom clean in between (removing trash/recycling, using provided vacuum and cleaning supplies, etc.).

PARKING: There is a private reserved off-street parking spot (shown in photos, parking lot spot #7) close to backdoor plus plenty of street parking available on the block.

GETTING AROUND: Centrally located with easy access to major highways (less than a mile to I-95) and shopping/dining on Route 202/Concord Pike. (There is NO sales tax in Delaware!). Brandywine Park, Downtown Wilmington, and the popular Riverfront are all a short walk away, plus Uber/Lyft is in the area. Several different DART bus public transit routes have nearby stops. Amtrak/SEPTA station and Greyhound bus station are both less than 2 miles away. Only ~20 minute drive from the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

THE SURROUNDING AREA: Nestled in the Brandywine Village neighborhood of Wilmington, Delaware on a residential street, the home is within walking distance to local attractions, is located near base of 202/Concord Pike (a main shopping/dining corridor), and is easily accessible to Interstate 95.

Downtown Wilmington - You’ll be walking distance to downtown (including Central Business District’s many law offices / financial companies, etc as well as Wilmington Hospital), and also minutes from Trolley Square with many restaurant, bar, and live music options.

Riverfront - The Riverfront area is less than 2 miles away, which has restaurants, a movie and IMAX theater, baseball stadium, museums, wildlife refuge, and more.

Brandywine Park (an amazing FREE amenity) - You’ll be steps away from the southern end of picturesque Brandywine Park, visible from the home’s various windows. Walk through this mile-long free public park which runs along both sides of the river and offers 178 acres of walking paths, gardens and footbridges. You’ll encounter stands of Japanese cherry trees, formal gardens, noted sculpture and architecture, and the Brandywine Zoo. Follow wooded trails to Trolley Square and Alapocas Park. Trail connects with the Delaware Greenway Trail for an extended journey for long walks, running, or biking.

About the roomies

Shared house is occupied by two friendly working professionals, each with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The home is occasionally visited by the two land owners; a married couple living out of state. The land owners stay on the 1st floor of the property (usually 4X a year for about a week at a time) when returning to Delaware to visit family, repair or update the property, etc. While visiting, they use the guest bathroom to shower. This is the only additional use of the semi-private bathroom in this listing, otherwise that bathroom is private.
