Erika's room

Hello home seekers. I am offering one room in my 1350 sq ft 3 bedroom/2 bath home. The available room is roughly 9 by 15ft with a sizable closet. Rent includes all utilities (there’s brand new central AC for the summertime!). You would be sharing a bathroom with one other housemate. The room is available as early as Nov. 13th, however we are looking the right fit over immediate occupancy.

Outside the room, there will be available space in the bathroom, shared hall closet, kitchen cupboards, as well as additional space in large outdoor shed. The house is otherwise fully furnished, so ideal for someone not looking to furnish anything outside the bedroom.

The home is a mid-century ranch style that gets great light and has vaulted ceilings in the main area. No bedroom directly shares a wall with another and the living area is separated by a hallway with laundry builtins. All home appliances have been updated within the past two years. It sits on nearly a quarter of an acre and feels super private from surrounding neighbors. Hammock, BBQ, fire pit, veggie garden, fruiting trees and shrubs, mature firs, as well as sprawling space in the back yard.

I’m the homeowner and live in the house with my 6 year old Australian Shepard. I’m looking for someone that sees having a dog lazying around as a bonus and not a nuisance. He is a very sweet boy that loves to be in the company of others, however he does not tolerate other canines that are not already in his circle. Unfortunately meaning that adding another animal to the household is not in the cards.

Me: I’m a 38 year old female and native Oregonian that has spent a lot of time cohabiting with others. I work full time running a wine program for a Portland restaurant as well as work dinner service 5 nights a week.

I keep things tidy and expect that you pitch in keeping things up, but not in a chore wheel or household meetings sort of way. This is a place to relax and unwind, not a party place. That being said, occasional gatherings and respectful guests are welcome.

Housemate #2: In her mid 30s, staying busying finishing a masters program in Counseling. Even though she’s too modest to admit it, she’s an excellent cook and has a background in naturopathic nutrition. Additionally she enjoys traveling and the outdoors, is very thoughtful and respectful, and keeps the shared bathroom super clean.
