About the room
Walk a few steps to a water fall and forests from this peaceful apartment in Whitney Ave! Sitting at the confluence between East Rock Park, Whitney Museum and Edgerton Park, the sturdy, prewar house, on the top (3rd) floor of which the apartment is located, is tranquil, green, and totally sun-filled. Only two blocks away from a Yale shuttle bus stop, the neighborhood is super-safe, family friendly and comfortable. While no off-street parking is available, surrounding streets are always good for parking.
The spacious (1200ft2) apt is officially 2 beds 1ba, but the living room is convertible to a 3rd bedroom. W/D in unit. Gas heating (forced air), gas cooking.Unfortunately no pets, no smoking, not furnished. The professor landlord lives right below you, so your concerns will be taken care of right away.
This is an either room-renting or lease-takeover deal; in the former case you’ll be sharing the $2000 apt with one woman, who is the current tenant; in the latter case you’re taking over her lease, which ends on 7/31/24, and get your own roommate(s) as the principal tenant. The possibility of lease renewal is up to you and the landlord. ln any case utility is not included in the rent, and the security is one and half a month.
In your first email let me know your profile as a renter—your employer, income, credit score, the reference, criminal and eviction history, if there is. Thank you.
