Essence's room

We have a room to rent in a lovely one family home in Fairfax. Our home is unique with a tree growing through the roof! The room for rent is on a floor of it’s own with easy access to the kitchen, living room and upstairs restroom/ shower and is bathed in 3 walls of windows with ample natural light. We are open to short term renters (12 weeks minimum would be ideal but we are flexible) with the possibility of long term. The room can be furnished (or not) depending on your preference. We have an enormous backyard with space for gardening, if you so desire. We also have a gorgeous deck under a canopy of trees. We live on a hill on a quiet road that generally has easy street parking. Laundry on site. 10 minute walk to downtown Fairfax. We are looking for someone who is financially and emotionally stable, respectful, kind, creative and honest. Must like kids and animals and be a good communicator. Must be willing to help with household chores and keep shared space tidy. You are most welcome (but not required) to join us for evening meals. Absolutely no smoking or drugs on site.

We are a family of 4 that includes 2 professional musicians (one who also teaches private voice and songwriting lessons out of the living room,) a 15 year old boy who is a sophomore in high school, and a 10 year old girl who is in the 5th grade. We have a short haired sweet black cat named ‘Kiki’ and a very loving black lab dog named ‘Murphy.’ We also have a bearded dragon named ‘Lorde Harrison.’
