Hello! I’m looking to rent out my bedroom short term for about 3 months while I travel around South America. I plan to be gone December, January, and February. Move in and out dates are flexible but roughly around those start and end times.

My two story house is 2150 sqft, has 3 bedrooms, and was built in November 2022. It’s located just east of the Mueller neighborhood, 12 minutes from downtown, and 12 minutes from the airport.

The bedroom you’d be renting is the master bedroom in the house. It is fully furnished and features a private bathroom with two sinks, a toilet with a bidet, and a huge walk in closet. The house has brand new kitchen and laundry appliances, fiber internet, and a 65 inch TV in living room can stream whatever you want to watch with plenty of comfy seating. The back patio has outdoor seating with a fire table and backs up to a park so is pretty private. There’s also a balcony above the patio has a pretty great view over the park. I have the house professionally cleaned once a month.

The neighborhood I live in has a community pool, a dog park, and outdoor seating and hammocks all within a 2 minute walk.

I currently have one male roommate in his late twenties who is friendly, clean, and courteous who you would be sharing the house with. He works as a health care recruiter and goes into the office 4 days a week.

Myself, I’m a 33 year old software engineer originally from California. I’ve lived in Austin since 2019 and I really enjoy living here. I’m a pretty laid back, easy going person. I love meeting new people, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and getting out and about in Austin! A few fun facts about me:

• I’m somewhat of an avid traveler. I’ve been to 39 countries and before moving to Austin I quit my job and traveled around Europe, Asia, and North America for 18 months.
• I’ve lived with housemates most of my life and consider myself to be a courteous person to live with.
• Prior to moving to where I currently live I used to host a lot of travelers from couchsurfing.com. Over a ~7 year period I hosted over 150 people from 25+ countries.
• I love being in the water when it’s hot outside. Pool, river, lake, on a boat, doesn’t matter, that’s my happy place.
