The room is available ASAP, and rent will be prorated for when you move-in. Your half of the monthly rent would be $1400. You have the option to either sign a lease as a tenant or to be on a sublease with me, so let me know what might work best for you. There is a background and credit check ($35) that the landlord requires through Zillow in either case. Unfortunately, the landlord does not allow pets.

The apartment is on the first floor of a house. There are nine steps that lead to the front door, eight from the back door to the backyard, and ten down to the basement washer & dryer. It has excellent sunlight and a good-sized shared yard. There’s also a small deck in the back and a quiet front porch. The location has a 79 walk score, 64 transit score, and 90 bike score.

The blue bedroom available has a good sized closet and three lovely windows. It is furnished with a queen-sized bed, two nightstands, and a rug. I chose the green room but am happy to switch! Both are about the same dimensions. The utilities include water, sewage, gas, electricity, and Internet, but I haven’t been here long enough to get a bill for those. I had to pay first ($1400), last ($1400), a security deposit ($1400), and cleaning fee ($75) to move in. It’s Seattle, so there are absolutely ways to spread out these costs. My name is Al (she/they)! I moved into this 2 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment in mid-October and am looking for a roommate to carve out a cozy environment. I’m a 35yo Black, queer femme who relocated to Seattle last year for graduate school and currently works in healthcare. I enjoy houseplants, reading, and warm beverages. As a QTBIPoC, I want to co-create an affirming, inclusive home space; it’s important to have a little oasis to rest and just be.
