About the room
Hello, our roomie, Maggie, is moving out at the end of our lease so we’re looking for a new one. The house is located along SE Division Street at 30th. It is right in the heart of inner SE Portland with everything you need within walking distance including grocers, restaurants, craft stores, hardware store, public transit, etc. The location is great for folks commuting downtown as the FX2 bus stops right outside our house. Ample street parking is available in the neighborhood. The home is privately owned so no property management company to deal with which is great. I have the maintenance guy’s number in my cell but we’ve only needed him one time.
Your room is the biggest in the house (about 18x12) with the most privacy as you are on the 2nd floor and do not share a wall with anyone. The room comes with a large floor A/C unit and a tower fan for summer so you will not have to pay for your own AC unit which is nice. Lots of storage space is available if you have a lot of stuff. Brand new washer/dryer, nice big yard in the back. It is a 4br/1b house but we have not had any problems with there being only one bathroom. 12 month lease is expected but we may be able to work out a 6 month lease for the right person.
Another option is for me to move into this room and you could move into my room which would be $700. It’s half the size of the $800 room. Your own place in this part of town is going to start at $1500 plus utilities so I’ve put a good 8-9K in the bank living here.
About the roomies
Justin, 39, I am currently going to dental assisting school at PSU. I enjoy stand up comedy nights, anything outdoors, skiing, and water sports as well as reading and fitness and board games. I am pretty much gone all day and buried in my studies at night. James, 34, is an accountant and gamer who mostly keeps to himself and has a lovely senior siamese cat named Blue. Noah, 28, works full time at OHSU and plays classical guitar. We’re all pretty much on our own schedule with busy lives but we try to make time for a meal together. It’s a very relaxed place to live. Perfect spot for a PSU student, anyone new to Portland as we are located in a hoppin’ neighborhood full of restaurants and other stuff to do and is super close to downtown. I E-bike downtown every day in about 12 minutes. Anything else, just ask!
