So the area is right behind the Lutheran seminary school in the 29203 zip code, 3m walking distance from a Family Dollar; approximately 15m walk to Food Lion as well as a smoke shop, hair care store, and a CVS. There are 2 parks/playgrounds in walking distance, traffic is really really quiet here, and people in the neighborhood mostly keep to themselves. I will say unless you enjoy walking and are good with public transit, this isn’t the best location for someone without a vehicle.
The space: So, obviously all of the personal furniture and decor with be out, save for a queen bed and box springs set if you want to use them. Half of the images are with the curtains down, the other half with them open, and this is a west facing room, so the sun isn’t yet pointed directly in. These were taken with the 11:30 ish sun, so a good amount of natural light. The bed in the images is a queen size bed as well, so it gives a good perspective idea on the size, but I’d estimate 10’×9’×10’.
The roommates are myself, 21 years old (anything but she/it); and Rachel, 32 years old (she/her). In the house are 3.5 cats, as one goes outside for most of the day. My cat stays in my space and doesn’t mingle much with the others, because she’s the size of a laundry detergent bottle with the ego and audacity of a German shepherd; Rachel has 3 cats, and the two that stay indoors are elderly ladies both 11+ years old. The partial outdoor cat is incredibly sweet, very friendly, but on occasion bloody as he defends the garden very well. All are fixed and annually seen by vets. Both of us are friendly and open, can be a touch awkward at first as we’re both kind of introverts. We like to do movie nights, and have drinks together. We both cook pretty well, and I usually make enough to feed 2-3 people anyway, so there’s a pretty high shot of home cooked meals to go around.
