Looking for a roommate to fill 1 of 2 available bedrooms in my 3BR apartment on the Upper East Side on 96th Street and Lexington Avenue (153 East 96th Street). This room is approximately 140 square feet and measures 11’2“x12’6“.

I also have 2 other listings, one for the other available room in the apartment, and 1 for both rooms if you are a group of 2 people looking to move into a 3 bedroom.

Rent is $1,700 for 1 year on an existing lease (you will not be signing a new lease), and utilities are generally between $75-$100 per person per month for internet and electric (lower in the winter)

This room has an Ikea Malm bed frame and an Ikea Malm 6 drawer dresser that can be included at no extra cost if you would like those (as seen in the photos) however you don’t have to take them if you don’t want. The rest of the furniture in the photos will not be included, so the room will come unfurnished with the exception of the bed frame and dresser if you would like those. The room also has an AC unit included.

The building is located 30 feet from the 96th st. 6 subway station and two blocks away from the 96 st. Q subway station. The unit is on the 4th floor and there is an elevator in the building as well as a Hercules operated laundry room in the basement that has refillable cards that you can use a credit card to fill.

This is a very spacious apartment with a separate, nicely sized kitchen with a dishwasher, a large dining room, living room with tv, and 1 full bath.

I’m a live music junkie so go to a lot of shows around the city, and very into sports, so usually am watching sports in my room when I’m home. Looking for clean, low-key roommates. Not particularly interested in people who want to throw parties and invite lots of people over to the apartment.
