About the room
The room you’ll be staying is a large bedroom at 12’11“x10’8“ plus closet space. The room can easily fit a queen size bed with plenty of space for a desk and other furniture. It’s on the basement level of the house and the windows face the peaceful front yard. The windows are new and keep sound out beautifully. All bedrooms have a keyed lock on their door for added security. You would be sharing the downstairs bathroom with one other person. The house has central AC, laundry, dishwasher, a fully stocked kitchen, a tv, a beautifully big and fenced in back yard, and plenty of space for storage. Street parking is always available and easy to find.
The lease starts November 1st and is a 3 month lease to start to make sure we enjoy living with each other before extending to a year. There is a $700 deposit required for move-in. Utilities are not included but generally come to between $75-100 a month with most expensive being in the Summer months.
Currently as we already have a dog we would rather not have a second one, although if you have a small dog who’s friendly we can set up a compatibility meet. We also unfortunately can’t have cats due to allergies within the household. We’re non-smokers and would like you to be the same (420 is okay in the form of edibles but any smoking products must be outside of the house). We can’t accept couples or children as it is already a large household. We’d prefer someone in our age range 25-35, though are flexible.
About the roomies
Welcome to our wonderful queer+ crew, we’re excited to have you! We are four nerdy, fun, lgbtq+ positive people looking for another wonderful person to share our space. We are one queer woman, two gender-fluid people, and a trans man, plus a very sweet, small (non-shedding) dog named Milo. Currently we are looking to fill one last room!
As a household we live in a very collaborative way. We like to share our adventures with each other and will do things like hike, go to faires, music venues, cons, out to eat (or in), and in general have fun together when we can. There’s never pressure to hang out, but there’s always an open invitation. We keep our house clean by splitting the work up and doing the chores that work for us. We value proper communication as a part of a maintaining a healthy and safe environment and consider it an important part of cohabitation. We went from strangers, to friends, to family and hope that you’ll join us.
