Technically it’s a 3 bed 2 bath, but the 2nd bath (in the upper half-level) is a half bath, and the 3rd bedroom is small enough to barely even work as an office. It has a half finished basement, which I’m using as a personal computer desk / storage / workout area. The primary bath is on the main level, sandwiched between my bedroom and the smaller room I’m using as an office. Not bad, but not perfect either. The upper half-level is oddly shaped and not perfect, but it certainly is private. I measured it this past weekend (getting quotes for carpet replacement) and it’s about 282 square feet, though the aforementioned odd shape makes it less useful.

Common areas, including the living room, would be shared of course! The kitchen is the walk-through between the entry way / sun room extension, and the rest of the main level. Presently there is no dishwasher, but I have a contractor lined up to install one once it arrives (week or so). There is a 2 stall garage. one half of which would be available. The previous owners made one side into a workshop area, so it’s not as deep as the other. Parking 2 cars is definitely possible, but may require some deft maneuvering.

I have a personal timeline that may not match yours, however. I’m mobilizing for my 2nd deployment with the MN Army National Guard in very early February. I have two cats, who will be taken care of by a couple of friends. Those friends are also in the process of moving, so the cats will be at the house for about two weeks after I leave, until the friends complete their move. One of those friends may be staying at the house part-time during those two weeks for cat care.

Professional background: On my 2nd career, working as an IT System Administrator. Enlisted Army National Guard for over 12 years, currently a Staff Sergeant (E6) in a communications (signal) position.

Living options available: there are two possible living arrangements available at this time (with option two having a couple variations)

Option 1: private upstairs living space w/ half bath; standard shared commons and garage spot Option 2: main level bedroom with my stuff moved to the main level office (or basement, or upper level); standard shared commons and garage spot (temporary from when I leave until I return in approximately December 2024)

I’m flexible on pricing, both because I won’t be around and because this has to work for both parties. Rent would be a flat rate, including all utilities and internet. For maintenance issues, my parents (who live about an hour away) will have a key set for access. In my absence, you would be responsible for the large chores I would normally do (shoveling, mowing).

Property is smoke-free, including cannabis (outdoor smoking is acceptable). Indoor vaping can be discussed. Alcohol friendly, just don’t be stupid.

Occupants are myself and my two cats, though I’m leaving in a month. Any potential roommate will need to be able to live in a pet home environment.
