The house is a craftsman style home built in 1907. It’s located a short walk away from Whatcom Falls Park and Galbraith Mountain, which makes it a prime location for accessing trails. It includes a large yard in front, with a yard in back that includes a patio, garden, and parking in alley. High ceilings upstairs and downstairs, with a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen. Most rooms have been freshly painted, the living room oak floor has been refinished, and new carpet has been installed in all rooms upstairs. Storage for mountain bikes and kayaks outside and in a shed.

The room for rent is 10’ 6“ x 11’ 9“ with a large walk in closet for a total of 166 sq ft. Each room has had new carpet installed and is freshly painted. There is an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs bathroom that will both be shared by everyone in the house.

I’m looking for a roommate that:

• Values open communication, personal growth, and kindness.
• Cleans up after themselves in shared rooms, and is willing to help with chores.
• Is friendly and down to hang out with other roommates, but also respects the need for privacy and time to decompress from work.
• Is accepting of people of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations.

Please note:

• First month’s rent will be prorated based on move in date.
• $400 damage deposit due with first and last months on move-in.
• Lease lengths for 6 months
• Utilities will be split equally among roommates. Estimating $100-$250 a month a person.
• Internet will be covered by rent.
• No other dogs at this time.
• One bedroom is already rented, so there will be three of us sharing the house.

My name is Jonny, and I’m the owner of the house. I’m a 36 year old single male, and I work as a nurse at Skagit valley hospital. I have a 28 month old miniature Sheepadoodle that is very friendly and trained that will be living with us. In my free time I like to play piano, practice woodworking, go on bike rides, hikes, and other outdoor activities, watch tv shows, and play all types of games from video games to board games and card games. I value mindfulness and healthy lifestyle choices. I’m liberal and LGBTQ+ friendly.

The other roommate is Jon, a 28 year old male. He works in construction with a shed building company. He’s into mountain biking, and owns several bikes.
