Friendship Drive

We rent out the 4 upstairs bedrooms. 1 bedroom has its own bath and is currently occupied. The other 3 bedrooms share a full bath (with a bidet) upstairs and have access to a half bath downstairs. The room can come furnished with a nightstand, desk and dresser if you like.

Utilities are $100/mo and include electric, gas, water, internet (each bedroom has a hard-wired Google Fiber connection), Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, certain household supplies like laundry detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, cleaners etc. Other amenities include Nest thermostats, security cameras, and a reverse osmosis water filter. We have an extra fridge and an extra freezer in the garage to accommodate the number of people living here. We also have a home gym if you’re into free weights of the barbell variety. There is a neighborhood park and pool. We are very eco friendly. We take full advantage of the City of Austin’s compost program. We subscribe to a recycling plus program, and we use bamboo toilet paper.

*Couples are welcome, but must rent multiple rooms. *Smoking & vaping are not permitted in the house, but we have a lovely patio and deck you are welcome to use for that. *Drugs of any kind are not permitted on the premises at all *We do not drink, but ask that if you do, that you are not blatantly drunk in the common areas and use the garage fridge or your personal fridge to store alcoholic beverages.

My husband and I own a house and we share the master with our 5 year old daughter (who we’ve tried to move out of our room several times). We have been renting rooms in our various homes for 15 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the community feel. We love to host regular family-friendly events, so if you desire to live with us, you must love people, and you must not be noise-averse. We are a very responsible, drama-free type and tend to attract like-minded people. People tend to rent with us for 2-3 years on average, so the environment is very stable. We keep a clean house, and the chores are evenly distributed among ourselves and all the tenants. We enjoy when tenants feel at home enough to use the common areas as opposed to feeling the need to be in their room all the time. We currently have 1 cat.
