The house: It’s been well taken care of by its owner since being flipped around 2003. It was also refurbished and updated by the owner (a realtor) just before we moved in March of 2022 – we’ve been here for a little over a year. (We all shared a house in Inglewood, but then found this better house that was very well priced.) It’s a 2-story house with a basement apartment and plenty of off-street parking. Safe neighborhood and we have a security system along with security cameras. The central air works really well and the owner fixes things promptly. There’s a washer and dryer in the basement – basement apartment roommate is very accommodating and flexible with us all having to use that part of the basement. (There’s also another washer/dryer and hook-up upstairs, but we never used it b/c we couldn’t figure it out lol.) Completely furnished except for the upstairs: dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave, toaster oven etc, in the kitchen. There’s a patio, front porch, and fire pit. There’s plenty of room and is a great layout for 3 people to have their space.

The rooms: The top floor is two bedrooms with extra space and a hidden closet. The shared bathroom is on the main/1st floor; there is also another one in the basement.

Utilities are not included in the rent – we normally pay those mid-month and it averages ~$150 for each of us. We also pay a landscaper to take care of the (pretty extensive) grounds as needed.

The owner will want to do a credit check, etc, and sign a lease.

One roommate is a property manager for commercial buildings and the I (basement roommate) am a musician.

Our roommate of 3 years is moving in with his girlfriend… so I guess you could say it’s getting pretty serious.
