This lovely 2600 sq. ft. Spanish style duplex is located in a fabulous location a couple blocks from 3rd St. and La Brea Ave.. Walking distance to Trader Joe’s, Ralphs, CVS, Farmer’s Market, The Grove etc.. The room for rent is a spacious 14’ x 15’ room with two great closets. There are three of us looking for a fourth. We work in creative fields, are independent, get along very well and rarely run into each other. We share the house with two cats Bruisy, a British Shorthair cat with a big personality and Wolfie who is outside most of the time. We are looking for a clean, mature, considerate, responsible – fully employed (9-5 preferred) person (no couples) who will help maintain our comfortable home. Somebody respectful of neighbors, peace and property. Semi furnished ie. queen bed, dresser, futon couch, orange chair, shelving unit, mini fridge. The room is large enough to accomodate a couch, chair etc. for additional personal privacy. A little bit about “the collective” in the house: We are very much a do our own thing laid back bunch. We each are responsible for ourselves and the common space with a great sense of courtesy towards each other. I work from home, but am out often, working on t.v. and film projects etc.. Mike works out of the house long hours as a graphic designer, editor and sound engineer. Alex recently got his drone license so is frequently our shooting and building up stock footage to use in various mediums. We rarely see each other, but get along really well (lots of laughs), and have no problem “speaking our truth” to each other, which makes for an often comical time while we get things off our chests. The house is pretty much our sanctuary primarily socializing out of the house. We’re multi-generational, but genuinely enjoy and appreciate each other’s company. Lastly, the room is great. It’s big enough to accomodate a couch and chair to create a separate personal space. The room is available now, but Oct. 1st move-in is fine too
